REPUBLICANS VS DEMOCRATS (UPDATED)

When I refer to voting Democrat, I'm referring to the 2004 Presidential election, and which political party held the majority of that county or state.

DEMOCRATS ARE MORE EDUCATED THAN REPUBLICANS

  • According to the U.S. Census 2002 American Community Survey, 7 out of 10 states which have the highest percentage of people 25 years old and older who have completed a Bachelor's Degree vote democrat; the top three all vote democrat.
  • What most of the 'top college lists' consider the best universities in the U.S., (including Brown, Cal Tech, Colombia, Cornell, Dartmouth, Duke, Emory, George Washington, Harvard, John Hopkins, MIT, Northwestern, Princeton, Stanford, University of Chicago, University of Pennsylvania, UC Berkeley, Washington, and Yale) are all in counties which vote democrat; 8 of these schools are in counties which vote more then 80% Democrat, and 14 of the these schools are in counties which vote more then 70% Democrat.
  • According a November 2001 Frank Luntz survey on Ivy League humanities professors. When asked for their political party affiliation 57% chose Democrat, while only 3% chose Republican. Among the general public, 34% chose Democrat while 37% chose Republican.
  • The Morgan Quitno organization ranked all 50 States according to 21 factors of education from years 2004 to 2005. Of the top 10 smartest states, the top 8 all vote Democrat. States which vote Democrat were 63.2% above national average for intelligence and 36.8% below. States which vote Republican were 35.4% above national average for intelligence and 64.5% below. 2/3 of Democrat states were above the national average for intelligence, while 1/3 of Republican states were above the national average for intelligence. The average smart rating for Republican states is almost exactly three times lower than the average Democrat state rating

DEMOCRATS MAKE MORE MONEY THAN REPUBLICANS

  • Even though there are 12 more states which vote Republican over Democrat, 8 of the top 10 wealthiest states in America vote Democrat; the top 5 all vote Democrat.
  • 13 of the 15 wealthiest counties (by per capita income) in the United States vote Democrat; the top five all vote Democrat
  • According to a poll taken by CNN, voters who frequent Wal-Mart vote Republican 54% to the 46% who voted Democrat.

REPUBICANS COMMIT MORE VIOLENT CRIMES THAN DEMOCRATS
  • 8 out of the top 10 states with the highest violent crime rate vote Republican. Democrat states are numbered 9 and 10 from the top (being the least violent out of the top ten)

JAPAN & UNITED STATES (nationmaster.com)
  • Most Economic Important: #1 U.S. | #2 Japan (25 countries rated)
  • Gross National Income per capita:  #3 Japan | #5 U.S. (172 countries rated)
  • Scientific literacy: #2 Japan | #14 U.S. (27 countries rated)
  • Mathematical literacy: #1 Japan | #18 U.S. (27 countries rated)
  • Income Equality*: #2 Japan | #92 U.S. (124 countries rated)
  • Highest Percent of Obesity: #1 U.S. | #29 Japan (29 countries rated)
  • Murders per capita: #24 U.S. | #60 Japan (62 countries rated)
  • Rapes per capita: #24 U.S. | #54 Japan (65 countries rated)
  • Robberies per capita: #11 U.S. | #57 Japan (64 countries rated)
  • Teenage birth rate: #1 U.S. | #27 Japan (28 countries rated)

*Smaller gap between rich and poor; In the United States,10% of the population owns 71% of the wealth; In the United states only 2% of the population make over $200k annually. It just that many don't realize this if they live in the nice parts of California, NYC,  Connecticut, or Massachusetts--as they contain substanically more wealth then other parts of the United States--but this is large problem.

Stock & SF

Los Angeles Downtown currently has over 155 projects under construction or completed with-in one year.

San Diego Downtown currecntly has over 115 projects under construction or completed with-in one year.

San Francisco has....

"Los Angeles? That's just a big parking lot where you buy a hamburger for the trip to San Francisco" -John Lennon & Yoko Ono

The blue buildings are under construction, and the red are proposed--and if passed would be the largest tower west of Chicago

Tamao and I invested $3,500 in a stock around a year ago. It is now valued around $25,000. In a year or less our stock will be valued at more then a $100,000--if all continues to go well. I'm 99.9% sure the stock will not decrease in value (in the long run), It just exciting to see how much it will rise... I hope a lot cause I'm in need to money to pay my dentist bills, among other many things..
